Raising Money For
As you may or may not know my wife was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma this year. Watching her go from someone being healthy and full of life to being ill over the months was hard for me to see. The support from friends and family has been a great help to us but what I can’t stress enough is the support Macmillan provided. They do such a great job helping people with cancer and giving information, help and support about things you wouldn’t think about yourself. So this October I plan to go sober in support of Macmillan. Those who know me, know I like a little drink now and then and sometimes it can get messy 🙈. So this October I will challenge myself to stay sober. All the birthdays, all the Friday treats (work friends know what I mean) all the important football matches and also my trip to Anfield will be a sober affair. Let’s hit this target and continue to support the great work Macmillan do!
Well done for getting through it! Dont know if you remember us celebrating our birthday that one year and we happened to be at the same place (My 30th , your 31st) and I remember you getting quite merry lol so I can imagine this was a challenge but it's a beautiful thing you've done for your wife and for Macmillan. They truly are a wonderful charity and I remember how much they helped my mum. x
