So this is my last drink for a month.
It’s a good one. A delicious gin pinched from my brothers booze cabinet.
He is still with us. These are his final days and only the occasional beeping of the syringe drivers and occasional moments of alertness disturb his sleep.
It has been terribly difficult and sad. A huge amount of distress for him and his wonderful wife Marie. He does not deserve this. Who does.
The NHS is woefully underfunded in terms of end of life care. They rely of charities like Macmillan and Marie Curie to provide respite care and night care in the home. And it is not enough.
Please donate what you can.
